A redesign of Meridian's core mobile app that cut onboarding drop-off in half and made everyday money management feel calm instead of stressful.
The problem
Meridian's onboarding asked for eleven fields before a new user saw any value. Support tickets were full of the same complaint: "I gave up halfway through." Growth had stalled even though the underlying product — instant transfers, shared budgets — was genuinely good.
What we did
We mapped every screen between download and first transfer, and found the real blocker wasn't the form — it was that users didn't understand why Meridian needed each piece of information. We restructured onboarding into three short steps, moved optional fields to "complete later," and rebuilt the visual language around a single accent color so users always knew what was tappable.
The result
Onboarding completion rose from 41% to 78% within the first month post-launch, and the redesigned dashboard became the most-viewed screen in the app — up from fourth. Meridian's team now runs every new feature through the component library we built during this project.
Tabish didn't just make our app look better — he questioned our onboarding flow and cut our drop-off in half. Rare to find a designer who thinks like a product person.
