Common layout choices that make a Storefront look busy instead of premium — and a simple fix for each one.

1. Burying the bestseller
Visitors arriving from an ad or social post usually already have one product in mind. If it's not visible without scrolling, a meaningful share of that traffic leaves before ever seeing it. Fix: feature the bestseller or the product being advertised directly beneath the hero banner, not several sections down.
2. Too many categories, too early
A full navigation menu with a dozen categories overwhelms a visitor who hasn't even seen a product yet. Fix: lead with three or four clear groupings maximum, and let deeper categories live one click further in, not in the primary navigation.
3. Inconsistent photography across products
Mixing studio shots, lifestyle photography and marketplace-style images on the same page makes even a strong catalog look unplanned. Fix: standardize on one photography style for grid thumbnails across the entire Storefront, saving variation for detail pages.
4. A brand story with no product in sight
Full-width brand story sections with zero products visible make a shopper feel like they've left the store. Fix: never let more than one section pass without a visible, clickable product tile.
5. No clear path back to the products that convert
Long scrolling pages that end on a lifestyle image rather than a product grid waste the attention built up along the way. Fix: close every major section with a product row, and end the page the same way it should have opened — with something to buy.
