A+ Content & Brand Story · 4 min read
Bigger modules, comparison charts, video — a practical breakdown of what Premium A+ unlocks, and when it's actually worth the eligibility requirements.

The core difference
Basic A+ Content gives a fixed set of modules — image-with-text, comparison charts, standard grids — built for a single product page. Premium A+ (available to sellers meeting Amazon's brand history and catalog requirements) adds interactive modules: video, larger hero banners, click-to-expand comparison charts, and cross-brand navigation that spans an entire catalog rather than one listing.
Where Premium genuinely earns its keep
Categories where a shopper needs to be walked through a decision — multiple sizes, compatible accessories, a technical spec that benefits from an interactive chart — see the clearest lift from Premium modules. A single hero product with a simple use case usually doesn't need the added complexity to convert.
The eligibility requirements aren't the hard part
Meeting Amazon's brand history and catalog thresholds is a formality. The harder part is having enough real product range and content to fill Premium's larger modules meaningfully — a Premium layout built around thin content looks emptier, not more impressive, than a well-built Basic module.
A practical way to decide
Build the Basic version first, built around real objections as described elsewhere on this blog. If, once it's live, the clear next improvement is showing the product in motion or comparing it against several of the brand's own variants, that's the specific signal that it's time to move to Premium — not brand size alone.
